Clean Fill vs. Mixed Loads: What’s the Difference?

At Disposal One, we’re committed to providing eco-conscious dumpster rental services across Toronto and the GTA. That’s why we offer bins specifically designed for clean fill and mixed waste—helping ensure proper disposal and minimizing environmental impact.

Our 3.5 to 4.5-yard bins range in price from $349 to $599, depending on the bin size and the type of material you’re disposing of. Choosing a clean fill bin is not only better for the environment—it’s also more cost-effective.

What is a Clean Fill Load?

A clean fill load contains only one type of inert material. This can include:

  • Soil

  • Brick

  • Concrete

  • Asphalt

  • Stone

These materials are separated to ensure they can be properly recycled or repurposed. Because they don’t require sorting, clean fill loads are more affordable to dispose of. For example, concrete or asphalt is typically cheaper to process than soil.

What is a Mixed Load?

A mixed load contains two or more types of clean fill—for example, soil and asphalt—which means it can no longer be categorized as clean. Mixed loads incur a $50 additional fee due to the added work required for sorting and disposal.

Please note:

Our 3.5 to 4.5-yard bins are not designed for household garbage, construction debris, or renovation waste. We also do not accept any hazardous materials, including:

  • Paints or chemicals

  • Electronics or batteries

  • Liquids or oils

  • Asbestos or contaminated waste
